My travel across the US to Washington DC and back. The first half of the journey is along a southern route. The return will take a northern tack.

Day 1 San Jose, CA to Kingman,AZ
As a recap for those who couldn't follow the Facebook fiasco.
Day left San Jose heading to DC (See map). First day was rather uneventful since Angie and I have traveled this route before. The only difference was the temperature. The car registered 111 at Needles, CA and it didn't get any better as I drove through the desert to Kingman, AZ. In the 100's all the way.
Stopped in the little town of Tehchapi. Nice
The trip took ~8 hours and I was ready to camp when I got there. Went to a local steakhouse for dinner.
